Well whats a topic one should not bring up. Ah I know Religion....

I was wondering about it in the basic way, not the theological history or reality but what common aspects of religion that are good and meet basic human needs. There must be something there that made it last Thur the ages. Maybe it was a universal way we used to link to each other. I believe in a common Collective consciousness. Now keep in mind my beliefs are fluid and keep changing or evolving as I become aware and enlightened. But I do believe in a collective consciousness. Now you can take this term as far forward thinking as you want, to new age thinking like you teach a monkey on a island on the other end of the our planet to use a specific tool to complete a task and other monkeys elsewhere on the planet will gain this ability or knowledge as well. We also intern can take it backwards in history to Emile Durkheim who died in 1917. He coined the phrase in psychology to refer to the shared beliefs and moral attitudes which operate as an unifying force within society.

So as I learnt it is not a new term, even tho new age thinking grab hold of the phrase and attached it to a growing thought that we are all bound together and draw from each other if you have evolved or become enlighten to a point of joining the group. Kind of like activating a radio transceiver in your head. The trick is to tune the radio and use it for good, as I have learnt and am still learning. So you must be evolved enough to transmit and receive and be open minded enough to believe it possible. Instinct a gut feeling, premonition's. You see where I am going with this if you do not believe in those three things and more you will not be able to use your radio in your head. Well something like that being enlightened also means you love your self, forgive, live in a fluid loving manner where you are open to new crazy ass ideas and think they are possible and probable.

Compared to the thinking of Emile Durkheim and the contrast would be the thinking of that age was ( In societies of this type, the contents of an individuals consciousness are largely shared in common with all other members of their society, creating a mechanical solidarity through mutual likeness. Now with language you can interpret a statement like that many different ways but what stands out for me is the word Mechanical . It amaze me that our ever changing cycles of thinking have a repetitive similarity of thinking but with a broader scope.

Did we already know this stuff or just a smaller portion of the human race was what I call (ENLIGHTENED ) seems like a possibility for sure..

Now jumping ahead just a bit the phrase Collective consciousness again coined this time to be: herd behaviour or group thinking , becoming aware of their shared traits and circumstances, and as a result  a community, and achieving solidarity.

Also jumping ahead just a bit the idea of Collective consciousness evolved to , Hive mind or group mind and social mind.

Hmmm So the power or the draw to some sort of Religion or to be part of something bigger than ones self is historically repetitive and addictive to humans.

There is something out there bigger than thy SELF. Something universally felt by most of us.

I respect the philosophy of the ideal with out the restrictions of organised stagnant religions or in some cases cults. I do not however agree with being controlled or having to think one way forever so I can be part of that HIVE.

So in short I kinda believe we are all gods each one of us to some degree at least and never want to be controlled or told how to think but I can however understand the need for a group of people, like say a family sitting around a table all hoping for the same things that are good for one or all. They share some beliefs that are common in nature and are positive for the universe.

Damn I think to much...

I might expand on this idea down the road.

Thanks for reading. Dog. lol if your like me and are dyslexic and have been called dog you see
