Things I've learned this past year:
Words are powerful.
Words are painful.
Never use words unless you understand the entirety of their meaning.
Words must be use in the correct context.
Words heal
&
Words hurt
Words used in a reactionary way.... are unnecessary.
Words versus Silence. Pick the kindest choice.
Words received are not always understood as intended or meant .
It's not the words that have the power it's the intent behind the words use this wisely.
So my advice to myself is be gentle be kind and come from a place of knowing and Love always.
Remember that not everyone's in the same place that you are & has the ability to understand or hear as you do...
and most of all it's not necessary to exhaust the whole vocabulary of the entire human language on someone that is deaf....
Be kind and you will reap the benefits no matter what.
The truth is easy because there is nothing to remember.
Just make damn sure, it's your truth and not someone else's.
Own your story and write it with conviction and clarity as you journey through life.
